Well, since this is my first blog and i'm new to this bloggin' thing, i'ma be 100 percent honest with y'all one time, making this album has been harder than I thought. One of the most IMPORTANT parts of the production of the album is, of course, the actual artist. The artist gotta have the motivation and inspiration as well as be in the right mind state to actually come up with what people would call a HOT album, and man, that ain't been happenin' with Dice.
HOWEVER, I know what the problem is, no plan. One day I just decided I was gonna drop a new CD, but I ain't have a plan to go along with that, I didn't know what type of music, what I wanted to write about, talk about, I just wanted to drop one. It's very similar to sports with athletes, a b-ball player can't just decide he wants to play in the game and go straight to playing, he has to practice, make sure he knows what he's gonna do, get his plan straight (plays) and THEN play the game.
So, that's exactly what I had to do, I scrapped all the potential songs, because they were potential songs about....nothing. I didn't have no plan or no agenda, I just new the beats were hot and I was gonna use 'em. That's the diff between my first album and this one, I already had songs done before I started plannin' to drop a cd, so it was easy to tell what direction I wanted to go just based of the completed songs, this time I'm need a plan and direction.
The plan is this - TWP, the new deal with TWP is in place and the direction I wanna go with this CD is new sound, but hot sound, music the people know and love but is different because they never heard it flipped like this. Supa Turtle is a step in the right direction because his beats got that exact sound, that hot new fresh sound, that I think will go nicely with this CD
So we'll see how the ship sails, now that TWP is on board
